Auction sheet translation and inspection results to verify condition.
If you find a car you love, we’ll:
Bid on your behalf up to your maximum budget.
Perform additional inspections (like rust checks) if needed.
If we win, you’ll need to pay the full amount, including fees, within 4 days.
After winning the car, we:
Transport it to our Japan facility for a thorough check-up (HD photos, test drive, cleaning, paperwork preparation, etc.).
Arrange shipment to your country (typically 5-9 weeks).

The simple answer is yes. Several cars that go through auction will have unknown mileage though. This will always be mentioned on the auction sheet. Check on the auction sheet beside the mileage for these marks – *, #, $. Our translation will always clearly state it as well.
The seller writes half of the sheet and the auction inspector writes the other half. The seller writes the car info, sales points, and notes. The inspector writes the condition report and diagram notes. The inspector also checks the info written by the seller to make sure it’s correct.
yes you can, The auction is a third party. That means they are not affiliated with the seller. In fact, the auction gets paid whether the car sells or not. There are over 100 auctions across Japan. They are in competition with one another. If the inspections were not trust worthy at that auction, buyers would stop buying from them.
While rare, auction purchases are non-refundable and non-returnable. This is why working with a trusted importer like us is essential. We can thoroughly inspect and vet each vehicle to ensure you get the right car, free of unexpected issues.
We will translate the sheets for you. This includes the sales points, notes, report, and the Japanese on the diagram notes. Note that Jurojin imports does full translations of the auction sheets. Most exporters only partially translate the sheets and some don’t at all.
Different auctions have slight differences in their sheets, but for the most part, this is not necessary to pay attention to in order to buy a car. The same basic formula is shared between all the major auctions.
You can buy any grade car that you like. Some clients want pristine cars, some want project cars. What I have seen however is that most people buying lower grade cars end up not being completely satisfied. Unless you are an expert in building cars, it’s easy to fall into the trap of not realizing how much is involved in bringing life back into a car.
Be careful looking at the pictures of the car. The true vehicle condition is not accurately shown in the pictures. Get in the habit of reviewing the auction sheet body diagram in detail instead of looking at the pictures to gauge the quality of the vehicle. Auction sheets always describe even the smallest flaws and issues in detail, so its best to cross examine using both.
Importing a JDM car into Edmonton (and the rest of Canada) requires compliance with several government regulations. While the process is straightforward, you must meet specific criteria set by Transport Canada and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to ensure a smooth import process. Here’s what you need to know:
✔️ 15-Year Rule: The vehicle must be at least 15 years old based on its manufacturing month and year to be eligible for import.
✔️ Bus Restriction: If the vehicle is classified as a bus, it must have been manufactured before 1971 to be imported.
✔️ Quebec and PEI Exception: If you live in Quebec or PEI, the vehicle must be at least 25 years old based on its manufacturing month and year.
🔹 Radiation & Soil Inspection: The vehicle must pass a radiation and soil examination to ensure it is safe for Canadian roads.
🔹 Airbag Requirement: The vehicle must be equipped with airbags to meet safety regulations.
🔹 Steering & Seat Restrictions: Vehicles cannot have aftermarket steering wheels or seats without airbags. Any modifications that remove the factory-installed airbag system could result in the vehicle being denied entry.

Upon arrival, the car goes through customs clearance, which takes about 5 business days.
Once cleared, your car is ready for pickup at the port or can be shipped cross-country to your location in Edmonton.
